Every year, the Great Falls chapter of Daughters Of The American Revolution have a service day. This year, they ve partnered with the Vet Center to help restock their shelves. The Vet Center in downtown Great Falls serves a few people each week, so they constantly need to keep their shelves full of food for those that need it.Kelly Smith has been director of the Vet Center at 615 Second Avenue North for five months and stanley cup is alrea stanley cup dy seeing a rise in need in that short time. She s worked with the center before and says donations like this are critical. She added they see people daily at times coming in to make requests. I ve been director for about five months and was a counselor here before that, and the need is just getting bigger, Smith said. We try to help everyone we can, regardless of if they re eligible or not for our services. We just ask people what they need and try to get it to them. Their food pantry is critical for those that use it, and they re getting a big boost from a food drive. Therapy dogs can provide great comfort and support, but in person visits aren t happening in many places right now because of coronavirus. So, organizations are adapting, helping you get benefits yeezy virtually. DoveLewis canine-assisted therapy program based in Portland, Oregon, is hosting read to the dogs virtual sessions. Therapy dogs Kiev and Kashi are working from home, but still supporting families across the c adidas campus ountry. Both dogs love listening to the kids and they love hearing stories and for you to read books to them, said Kathy Loter, Program Manager at Portland Area Canine Therapy Teams. The team of therapy dogs typically does 250 to 300 visits a month ugg in person. Now, hundreds of kids and adults have been joining the Facebook live sessions to still have that connection. Its really helpful for families to find something that makes them feel like they re normal and I think this is one of those things that can do that, said Loter.
