Light to moderate snow of approximately one to three inches is expected in areas from New York City down to Virginia, West Virginia, and the North Carolina mountains Tuesday afternoon and evening, ending Wednesday morning.The bad weather will intensify with heavy snow and potential blizzard conditions as it moves through New England Tuesday night and Wednesday. The heavy snow, which could reach upwards of 6 inches, is expected to hit eastern Maine by Thursday morning.Temperatures will average approximately 15 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit below normal in impacted areas.The West will be m stanley cup oderately impacted, as well.
