Despite ample warnings about pro-Trump demonstrations in Washington, U.S. Capitol Police didn t bolster staffing on Wednesday and made no preparations for the possibility that the planned protests could escalate into a massive violent riot, according to several people briefed on law enforcement s response. The revelations shed new light on why Capitol Police were so quickly overrun by rioters but leave many questions unanswered.The department had the same number of officers in place as on a routine day. While some of those officers were outfitted with equipment for a protest, they weren t staffed or equipped for a riot. BOSTON -- Police said the bodies of two fishermen who went missing after their boat sank near Nantucket have been recovered,CBS Boston reports.Michael Roberts, 49, and Jonathan Saraiva, 32, were on board The reebok Misty Blue when it sank earlier this month. State Police said they found one body Monday morning and the other hours later. Police did not say where their bodies were found.The captain and another crew member were rescued by a nearby fishing boat. They were said to be in good condition.
